Peru

The country is most popular for the old ruins of Machu Picchu that date back all the way to the Inca Empire. Starting off with the most popular destination in all of Peru, the ruins of the ancient Inca Empire Machu Picchu. There is a reason why so many people have this place on number one on their lists of travel destinations. Machu Picchu itself is not only magnificent and enchanting, but a large part of the trip is the trail that leads to it. This trail is challenging but provides you with beautiful views and fun obstacles such as rivers or waterfalls. The high level of hiking makes you appreciate and enjoy the final point of Machu Picchu even more! Cusco is the city where all the hiking trails, train rides and excursions to Machu Picchu start off. Throughout the years Cusco developed itself to a vibrant and fun city for locals and foreigners. Ask travelers what city they love most in Peru and will most probably be Cusco.

Brazil

Manaus is located in the center of the world's largest rainforest, and home to the National Institute of Amazonian Research, being the most important center for scientific studies in the Amazon region and for international sustainability issues. Over 500 mammals including manatees, jaguars, tapirs, vampire bats, and river dolphins, one-third of the world’s bird species, 30 million types of insect, 175 lizards, plus more than 300 other reptile species such as the infamous anaconda, in addition to the countless other known and unknown plant and animal species, call Brazil’s Amazon rainforest home—and all are severely under threat today by the heavy deforestation of “the Lungs of the World,” which is largely due to agriculture and cattle ranching.

Argentina

Iguazu Falls are in the continent of South America, and as we mentioned, it is shared by two countries: Argentina and Brazil. A feeling of emotion invades me to tears every time I visit the Iguazu Falls. The thundering vibrations of crashing water remind me of the power and splendor of nature. The most impressive fall of Iguazu Falls is called ‘The Devil's Throat' is a U-shaped cliff where 14 falls plunge more than 350 feet. It is surrounded by a lush sub-tropical rainforest that is home to over 2 000 species of vascular plants, an impressive array of birds such as colorful parrots and toucans, thousands of butterflies, and mammals such as tapirs and howlers monkeys.

Can Seniors Go to Machu Picchu?

Absolutely! There are different modes of transport that you can get you right to the front step of the archeological site. At the site itself, the main circuit is relatively flat, and we can take our time walking it. Our amazing guide will take you on a complete tour of the Machu Picchu archeological site, which is relatively flat if we stay on the main circuit and involves walking time of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Cusco is located at an altitude of 3,400 metres (11,200ft) and it is common for many visitors to experience some mild symptoms of altitude sickness in Cusco, you should still be careful and go up in altitude gradually without rushing it, suggest take Diamox or Soroche pills to prevent the altitude sickness 1-2 days before going up in altitude.

What vaccinations are required?

For most Brazil Amazon destinations, there is no requirement to get a yellow fever vaccination to enter Brazil, but if you are traveling to Amazon River, then Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever vaccinations are recommended,. Malaria preventatives are also recommended at many of the more remote lodges.  Better to discuss with your doctor to get more detail.

Attached with the brochure and the tour reservation form, please hurry to sign up. The deadline for reservation is by Apr 30, 2023.  We only have 60 seats available, don’t wait in last minute, it is first come first serve.  Book it now!
